The Roots collection showcases authentic Finnish aspen that has been responsibly sourced – discover the beauty of knotty Finnish aspen.
Our Roots 2-Grooves Panel celebrates what others might hide: it is made from 100 % Finnish sauna wood aspen, the knotty part of the trunk that is a by-product of our knot-free premium production. Each panel tells a story of Finnish forests with its unique grain patterns and natural knots.
From forest to finished product – entirely in Finland: Roots II veneer panels are sawn from Finnish aspen at our own sawmill in Pieksämäki, in the center of Finland. After sawing, we heat treat the wood to a beautiful chocolate brown Sávu shade using only hot air and water vapor, and then plane it into 2-grooves panels. The product is otherwise completely A-grade, but it contains natural knots that make each panel unique.
Versatile uses: Perfect for interior paneling when you want to choose Finnish aspen that combines its authentic, knotty beauty with a dark brown tone. The profile of the II-grade panel creates beautiful shading on the wall surface, and the chocolate brown heat-treated Sávu shade brings a warm atmosphere to the space. As a resin-free material, it is ideal for saunas and bathrooms, but also brings a natural atmosphere to other interiors.
