The impressive plank bench board is an excellent choice when you are looking for a wider bench board for your sauna. The plank bench board is made by gluing black alder blanks together using a special heat- and humidity-resistant adhesive. Thanks to its thick structure, the plank bench board can also be used with a longer span, allowing the frame of the bench to be designed without separate frame structures.

Black alder is a good choice of material for sauna benches as it can withstand heat fluctuations without cracking. The black alder bench board is knot-free and resin-free. It retains its dimensions and is extremely resistant to both humidity and heat. The black alder bench is extremely comfortable to sit on as its surface does not become hot even in high temperatures. 

The popular black alder has a warm, reddish colour and it gives off a mild scent of genuine wood. At your discretion, you can treat black alder with paraffin oil, for example.
