Knot-free and resin-free heat-treated aspen is a luxurious and popular material for Finnish saunas. Heat-treated aspen is beautifully brown and has an elegant hardwood surface with a pleasant aroma. Aspen is made even more durable with ecological heat treatment. It is ideal as a sauna panel and bench boards, but it can also be used elsewhere in the interior to create a warm and soft atmosphere.

Only heat and water vapour are applied in heat treatment, so it is a completely environmentally friendly and chemical-free way to improve the properties of wood. We treat all the raw materials we use ourselves in our own modern heat treatment plant in Pieksämäki. We produce heat-treated aspen panels, board benches and interior mouldings with a variety of widths and profiles. We use PEFC-certified aspen and the raw material is sourced from the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Knot and resin-free black alder is dyed beautifully brown and has a charming aroma. This also makes the wood more durable and prevents it from swelling or twisting over time. With heat treatment, the thermal insulation capacity of black alder is further improved, so it does not feel hot even in high temperatures. The treatment also improves its moisture and rot resistance. Thanks to its properties, heat-treated black alder is perfect for saunas and wet rooms, but it can also be used as an interior panel in other parts of your home.

We produce heat-treated black alder board benches and panels in a variety of widths and profiles. We use PEFC-certified black alder and the raw material is sourced from the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The best features of the magnificent Radiata pine include its striking appearance, beautiful colour, vibrant surface, easy processing and durability. We heat treat our products in our own heat treatment plant in Pieksämäki. Heat treatment makes the wood more durable. The Radiata pine we use is PEFC-certified and sourced from New Zealand. The bench boards, panels and mouldings we make from Radiata pine are knot and resin-free.
