Resin-free, knot-free and naturally light in colour, aspen is an excellent material for sauna interiors, while the visible finger joints create a distinctive rhythm across the surface. Finger jointing allows us to utilise valuable Finnish aspen raw material more efficiently. The panel can be used untreated in its natural state or finished to achieve the desired look.

Finger-Jointed Aspen Panel 15×120 STS 2
Finger-Jointed Aspen Panel is a stylish, high-quality and economical alternative to a conventional full-length aspen panel. The panel is made from 100% Finnish aspen at Pieksäwood’s own production facility in Pieksämäki, Finland.
Aspen is an excellent material for sauna interiors. It is resin-free, naturally light in colour and pleasant to the touch. The calm tone of aspen and its knot-free surface on three sides create a light and timeless look for saunas and other interior spaces.
The aspen used in our finger-jointed panels meets the same quality requirements as our A-grade aspen. The difference compared with a conventional full-length aspen panel is that shorter pieces of aspen are finger-jointed together to form full-length panels. The visible finger joints are part of the product’s distinctive appearance and create a unique rhythm across the light aspen surface.
Finger jointing allows us to utilise valuable Finnish aspen raw material more efficiently. At our own aspen sawmill, we make efficient use of raw material of different lengths and turn shorter, high-quality pieces of aspen into finished panels.
The modern STS 2 profile with straight edges creates a clean, contemporary panel surface and is suitable for wall and ceiling panelling in saunas, bathrooms and other interior spaces.
The panel can be used untreated in its natural state or finished to achieve the desired look. The naturally light colour of aspen can be left visible, or the even-toned wood can be treated to create the desired appearance. For sauna applications, always use a surface treatment suitable for sauna conditions.
