Heat Treated Alder Panel 15×120 STS 2
This luxurious, beautifully brown STS-profiled heat treated alder panel is an excellent choice for both humid and dry spaces. The STS panel has a modern, sharp-edged profile that adds warmth and subtle elegance to any interior.
Knot-free and resin-free alder is an exceptionally durable material for sauna use. During thermal treatment, alder develops a rich, deep brown color and a noble, hardwood-like surface with a pleasant scent. The process also makes the wood harder and more durable; it resists swelling or warping over time and retains its dimensions better than untreated wood. Additionally, thermal treatment enhances the wood’s insulation properties, making it feel cooler to the touch. Its resistance to moisture and decay is also significantly improved.
The wood can be surface-treated, and we recommend paraffin treatment to deepen the brown tone of the thermally treated alder panel and protect the wood surface.
