This luxurious and beautifully deep brown Sávu Collection sauna bench board is crafted from 100% Finnish aspen, making it an authentic Finnish sauna bench board and an excellent choice for sauna benches thanks to its knot-free and resin-free properties. It retains its dimensions better than untreated wood and withstands moisture and heat exceptionally well. The long-lasting bench boards are very comfortable to sit on, as their pleasantly smooth surface does not become uncomfortably hot even in intense sauna heat.
The wood is sustainably sourced, sawn, heat-treated and planed at our own mill in Pieksämäki, Finland, ensuring full control over quality throughout the entire production process. Heat treatment makes Sávu Collection products even more durable and dimensionally stable, perfectly suited for demanding sauna environments.
The stunning, rich chocolate-brown colour of the Sávu Collection is achieved naturally without any chemicals by heat-treating the wood using only hot air and water vapour. Heat treatment enhances the wood’s natural structure and creates an elegant, refined surface with a pleasant, subtle natural scent.
Sávu Collection sauna bench boards can be used as they are or surface treated if desired. Treating the surface with paraffin oil or sauna wax deepens the beautiful dark tone, protects the wood and makes it easier to keep clean.
The Sávu Collection consists of carefully selected sauna panels and bench models that can be easily combined to create harmonious and timeless sauna interiors. The deep brown tone is achieved entirely through heat treatment, without chemicals, and brings warmth, depth and a natural Nordic character to any space. All Sávu Collection products are manufactured and heat-treated at our own facility in Pieksämäki, in the heart of Finland, guaranteeing consistent quality and refined finishing.
